The Westland Lysander is one of the most distinctive aircraft of World War II. Its large fixed landing gear and uniquely shaped wings made it exceptionally stable during low-speed operations, enabling safe landings on meadows, fields, or even forest clearings.

The Mk.I and Mk.III variants introduced improved aerodynamics, more powerful engines, and optional armament, expanding its operational versatility. The aircraft served not only with the RAF but also in Canada, India, and other Allied countries.
