1/48 F-35B Lightning II Tamiya kit no. 61125
The kit can be assembled to show three different positions: parked, short takeoff or vertical landing.
The lifting fan is integrated with the nose gear.
Weapon bays are shorter compared to the F-35A and can be built open or closed.
The cockpit is molded in clear plastic with a slight tint.
Decals / markings options for building one of 7 different US Marine Corp, Royal Air Force or Italian Navy aircraft.
When complete the model measures 222mm wide and 325mm long.
- Engine nozzle rotation angles.
- Open or close the fuselage weapons bay doors and open the two inner weapons bay doors to intercept the vertical landing.
- Upper or lower leading edge, trailing edge flaperons and horizontal stabilizers.
- The nose gear and main landing gear can be selected between loaded or unloaded, depending on the type of assembly selected.
- Open or closed cab.
- Extended or retracted boarding ladder.
- The engine nozzle is divided into five separate sections for details.
- Detail of the Martin-Baker US16E ejection seat.
- Includes a stand that can be used when displaying a vertical landing.
- Comes with decals showing 7 marking options from a total of three countries (United States Marine Corps, Royal Air Force, Italian Air Force/Navy).
