We operate an e-shop at artscale.cz
For the sale of goods and the operation of our website, we process certain personal data. The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”).
I. Processing of Personal Data
Processing of personal data when using the contact form
If you inquire about our products and services, we will handle your contact details that you provide to us, mainly through the inquiry form. These are: first name, last name, email address, billing address, shipping address, and telephone number.
For what reason?
We will contact you using this information for further arrangements regarding the goods.
On what legal basis?
This constitutes processing under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – actions taken prior to entering into a contract at your request.
How long will we process personal data?
If we do not engage in further cooperation, we will process your data for no longer than 15 years from our last communication.
Processing of personal data in case of purchase
If you make a purchase from us, we will handle the data you fill in. These are mainly billing details: first name, last name, billing address, telephone number, email address, shipping address.
For what reason?
We need to process personal data to fulfill our contract – to deliver our goods to you. We will also use your contact information to communicate with you about the status of your order, and possibly regarding any complaints or inquiries you may have.
Furthermore, we will process personal data to meet our legal obligations (primarily for accounting and tax purposes, or for handling claims, etc.).
On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract, and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – fulfillment of our legal obligation.
How long will we process personal data?
For the duration of the provision of our service and then for 10 years from the last provision of such service or delivery of goods.
- Newsletters (commercial communications)
If you are a purchasing customer and have not prohibited it during your purchase, we will use your email address to send you our news.
On what legal basis?
We are allowed to do so by Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, unless you opted out during your purchase.
How long will we process personal data?
10 years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe from the mailing at any time via email or contact us at: info@artscale.cz
II. Who will access the data?
Your data will remain with us. However, some companies or other individuals work for us and may access the data because they help us operate our e-shop. These include:
- the operator of the Shoptet e-shop platform (Shoptet a.s., with registered office at Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00, Prague 6, Company ID No. 289 35 675, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, Insert 25 395)
- companies involved in shipping the goods
- companies involved in processing payments
- the provider of the emailing service
- a marketing agency – Ladislav Žlebek and Marek Kotrba – anque.eu
We only process personal data within the European Union.
What else should you know
Our company does not have a Data Protection Officer (DPO) appointed.
In our company, decisions are made based on automatic processing or profiling.

IV. Your Rights in Relation to the Processing of Personal Data
Among other things, the GDPR gives you the right to contact us and request information on what personal data we process about you, to request access to this data and have it updated or corrected, or possibly request restrictions on processing. You can request a copy of the personal data being processed, request the deletion of personal data in certain situations, and in certain cases, you have the right to data portability. You can object to processing based on a legitimate interest.
If you believe that we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection, or you can bring your claims to court.
These terms are effective from January 29, 2025.
