Sd.Ah 115 Flatbed Trailer (Tank Transport) in 1/72 scale by Special Hobby is a German heavy trailer designed to transport tanks and heavy military equipment during WWII. This trailer was towed by powerful tractors, such as the Sd.Kfz. 8 or Sd.Kfz. 9, and allowed for the efficient movement of armoured vehicles on roads and off-road. The model offers detailed work on the chassis, platform and attachments. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Sd.Ah 115 was designed for transporting light tanks / Pz.I, Pz.II, Pz.38(t), Pz.35(t) /, but any vehicles up to 10 tons could be transported on its loading area. Heavy trucks Faun L900 or Büssing-NAG 900A were used for towing. These trucks were capable of carrying one tank on the hull and another on the Sd.Ah 115 trailer.The Sd.Kfz 7 was often used to tow the Sd.Ah 115. Sd.Ah 115 trailers were used throughout the war, but mostly in Poland and France. The trailers were used both to transport combat equipment to initial positions for attack and to pull damaged machines for repair or to transport loot.
