The model includes a detailed cockpit, engine and landing gear. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
Special Hobby's 1/32 scale Fokker D.II Black & White Tail depicts an early German fighter aircraft developed as a successor to the successful Fokker monoplanes. It entered service in 1916 and was part of the first generation of German biplane fighters. Its light weight and good manoeuvrability made it effective in battles against early Alliedm aircraft, but its weaker engine and relatively low speed meant that it was soon replaced by more modern machines such as the Albatros D.I.
The Fokker D.II was deployed mainly on the Western Front, where it served in smaller numbers than the later Fokker D.III and D.V. Despite rapid obsolescence, some units remained in service until 1917. This edition of the model features a unique camouflage scheme with a black and white tail, which was typical of some German fighter units.
The 1/32 scale model features precise workmanship on the fuselage, cockpit, landing gear and engine, faithfully capturing this early German fighter aircraft. A great choice for modelers interested in WWI aviation.
Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
