Plastikový model kanónu 1/72 3,7 cm PaK 36 ‘German Anti-tank Gun’
The 3,7 cm PaK 36 'German Anti-tank Gun' in 1/72 scale by Special Hobby represents the German anti-tank gun used during WWII. This lightweight towed gun was deployed in the early years of the conflict, but its effectiveness against heavier tanks declined rapidly. Nevertheless, it remained in service throughout the war, often with tungsten-core cartridges or in an infantry support role. The model features detailed work on the gunner's hull, wheels and sights. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
Special Hobby's 3.7 cm PaK 36 'German Anti-tank Gun' in 1/72 scale depicts the iconic German anti-tank gun that formed the backbone of the Wehrmacht's anti-tank defences at the start of WWII. Developed in the 1930s, it was the standard armament of infantry and armoured units during the invasions of Poland, France and the early stages of Operation Barbarossa.
Weighing around 450 kg, the PaK 36 was easily towed by light vehicles such as the Sd.Kfz. 10, or could be moved by hand by the crew. Although it performed well against lightly armoured tanks, it was almost ineffective against the new Soviet T-34 and KV-1, earning it the nickname "klopfer" (knocker). In response, the cannon was fitted with tungsten-core ammunition or converted to other vehicle shells, such as the Sd.Kfz. 251. Towards the end of the war it was used primarily as an infantry support weapon.
The 1/72 scale model offers precise workmanship of the laffe, wheeled chassis and sighting elements. A great choice for modelers interested in German WWII artillery.
Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
