The 15 cm Nebelwerfer 41 'German Multiple Rocket Launcher' in 1/72 scale by Special Hobby is a German multiple rocket launcher used during WWII. 15 cm Nebelwerfer 41 'German Multiple Rocket Launcher' in 1/72 scale by Special Hobby depicts one of the most famous German multiple rocket launchers of WWII. Originally developed for launching smoke and chemical shells, this system quickly proved to be theas an effective weapon for artillery support because of its ability to hit large areas of enemy positions.
The Nebelwerfer 41 had six barrels arranged in a circle and fired 150mm rockets over one metre long and weighing 34 kg. Due to the lack of stabilising nozzles, the rockets had a distinctive wailing sound when in flight, leading to the nickname "Moaning Minnie" by the Allies. It was widely used on both the Eastern and Western fronts, often mounted on trailers and towed by Sd.Kfz. 11 vehicles.
