Long description:
This 1/72 scale model of the RWD-8 DWL by IBG Models offers a precise rendition of one of the most important Polish trainer aircraft of the 1930s. The RWD-8, designed by the RWD design group, was the most widely used aircraft in the pre-warPoland, used for basic pilot training as well as for communications and reconnaissance tasks.
This two-seat, upper-airplane was characterised by its simple but robust construction, which allowed it to operate even from less prepared areas. The aircraft was produced in two versions - DWL (production at Doświadczalna Warsztaty Lotnicze) and PWS (production at the state-owned Podlaska Wytwórnia Samolotów). After the outbreak of World War II, several machines were used during the September 1939 campaign and some escaped to Romania and Hungary.
The package includes finely crafted plastic parts, a realistic cockpit with accurate details, transparent parts for the cabin and decals for various markings, including Polish military and civil aviation.
The historical significance and precision workmanship make this model an ideal choice for modellers interested in interwar aviation and Polish military machines. The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
