The PZL.24 was a Polish single-engine fighter aircraft produced in the second half of the 1930s, developed as an export version of the successful PZL.11 design. The aircraft had an all-metal construction, a characteristic "gull" wing and was equipped with a more powerful engine and more powerful armament. The A and C versions were among the first variants produced and were exported to, among others, Turkey, which was one of the main foreign users of the type.
The Turkish Air Force used the PZL.24 until the early 1940s, when these machines were phased out. Despite the limited number of units produced, the aircraft has gone down in history as a reliable export fighter with a distinctive appearance.
Special Hobby 1/72 PZL.24A/C Turkish AF kit offers well crafted plastic parts, faithfully depicted interior, landing gear and armament. Included are decals for the Turkish versions of the aircraft, including typical markings used in the pre- and during WWII era.
The model is ideal for modelers interested in the lesser known export types of interwar aircraft.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
