Great Wall Hobby's 1/72nd scale MiG-29 9-12 Early Type "Fulcrum" offers a detailed rendition of an early version of one of the most important Soviet fighter aircraft of the Cold War. The MiG-29, which first flew in 1977 and entered service in the 1980s, was designed as a response to the American F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft, emphasizing superior maneuverability, speed, and the ability to operate from less prepared airfields.
The 9-12 version, designated "Fulcrum-A", was the first mass-produced variant of the MiG-29. It was equipped with advanced radar for its time, the ability to carry a wide range of armament including R-27 and R-73 missiles, and powerful RD-33 engines that provided high performance. The aircraft not only served in the Soviet Air Force, but was exported to many countries around the world.
The model captures authentic details of the early design, including the cockpit, landing gear and armament, and offers the possibility of assembly with various historical markings. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
