The kit includes detailed plastic parts, armament, cockpit and decals for the Axis satellite machines. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka is one of the most iconic aircraft of World War II. The D-5 version was developed in response to the need for increased protection and firepower - it had longer wings, thicker armour and MG 151/20 guns in the wings. Although the Ju 87 lost its dominance in the airspace during the war, it continued to serve as a combat aircraft, particularly on the Eastern Front.
The D-5 version was also supplied to Germany's allies, the Hungarian, Slovakian and Romanian air forces, where it served especially during the 1943-1944 battles against the Soviet Union. These machines carried specific national markings and often locally modified camouflage.
The Special Hobby 1/72 Junkers Ju 87D-5 'Axis Satellites' model offers well crafted plastic parts, detailed cockpit, overhead armament and decals for multiple machines in the service of the Axis satellite states. This is an attractive kit for anyone interested in the lesser known aspects of WWII aviation history.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
