1/72 Heinkel He 162C "Salamander"

AZmodel 's 1/72nd scale model of the Heinkel He 162C "Salamander" offers a precise rendition of the proposed version of the German Heinkel He 162 jet fighter, also known as the "Volksjäger" or "People's Fighter". The original version of the He 162A was developed at the end of World War II as a quick response to the need for a cheap and easily produced fighter aircraft for the defense of the Reich.

The He 162C version was planned as an improvement on the original model with the following changes:

• Wings: New wings with a broken shape ("gull wing") to improve flight characteristics.

• Armament: Two 30mm MK 108 guns mounted behind the cockpit, firing obliquely upwards.

These modifications were intended to improve the overall performance of the aircraft and its combat effectiveness. However, no prototype of this version was completed before the end of the war.

The package includes detailed plastic parts with fine engraving of panel lines, a realistic cockpit with accurate details, clear partsdecals for the cockpit and decals with fictional markings, offering modelers the opportunity to creatively recreate this "what if" version of the aircraft.
