1/72 Heinkel He 162B-1 "Volksjäger 46"

AZ Model 's 1/72nd scale model of the Heinkel He 162B-1 "Volksjäger 46" offers a precise rendering of a planned but never realized version of the German Heinkel He 162 jet fighter, also known as the "Volksjäger" or "People's Fighter". The original version of the He 162A was developed at the end of World War II as a quick response to the need for a cheap and easily produced fighter aircraft for the defense of the Reich.

The He 162B-1 version was designed as an improvement on the original model with planned deployment in 1946. The main changes included the use of the more powerful Heinkel HeS 011A engine, an extended fuselage to increase fuel capacity and thus range, and an increased wingspan with modified geometry for improved flight characteristics. Armament was to include two 30mm MK 108 guns. These modifications were intended to improve the overall performance of the aircraft and its combat effectiveness.
