1/72 Bugatti 100P ‘French Racer Plane’
Special Hobby's 1/72nd scale model of the Bugatti 100P 'French Racer Plane' is a revolutionary French racing aircraft from the late 1930s that never made it into mass production. The kit includes detailed plastic parts, cockpit and decals. Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Bugatti 100P was a unique racing aircraft designed in 1937 by the famous automobile designer Ettore Bugatti in collaboration with engineer Louis de Monge. The aircraft was intended to break speed records and later for military use as an ambush fighter. It featured an extremely advanced aerodynamic design, twin engines mounted behind the cabin and a counter-rotating pusher propeller.
However, the Bugatti 100P never flew. Due to the outbreak of World War II and the subsequent occupation of France, the prototype was hidden away, and the project was abandoned. Despite this, this elegant and futuristic machine became a legend in the field of aeronautical design.
The Special Hobby 1/72 Bugatti 100P offers a precise rendition of this unique aircraft with fine surface details, realistic cockpit and landing gear. It is the ideal choice for collectors and modelers interested in aviation history rarities and elegant interwar design.
The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
