KPM's 1/72nd scale AH-1G Huey Cobra "Late" offers a precise rendition of the late version of the first production attack helicopter to enter service in the second half of the 1960s. The Huey Huey Huey was first produced in the late 1960s. The AH-1G Cobra was developed based on the experience of the UH-1 Huey transport helicopter and became a key machine in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where it provided direct fire support to infantry and escorted transport helicopters in combat operations.
Later versions of the AH-1G were equipped with a more powerful engine, improved armorm and expanded armament, including the M134 Minigun rotary machine gun, M129 grenade launcher and rocket blocks. The Cobra earned the nickname "Snake" due to its reliability and combat effectiveness, and became the forerunner of modern attack helicopters such as the AH-64 Apache.
The package includes detailed plastic parts, a realistic cockpit with accurate details, clear parts for the cockpit and decals with authentic US Army markings.
The historical significance and detailed design make this model an ideal choice for modelers interested in Cold War era helicopters and aviation. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
