1/700 'Kronprinz' (full hull & waterline), WWI German Battleship
Kronprinz Battleship - 1:700
The Kronprinz was part of the König-class battleships of the German Imperial Navy during WWI. Laid down on October 3, 1911, at AG Vulcan in Hamburg, it was launched on May 5, 1913, and commissioned on July 30, 1914. König-class battleships were sturdy vessels, well-suited for North Sea conditions. Four sister ships formed the 3rd Squadron of the High Seas Fleet (Hochseeflotte), participating in all battle operations of the fleet during the war.
After the armistice, the German fleet was interned by the Allies at the Royal Navy base in Scapa Flow, where on June 21, 1919, all vessels, including the four König sister ships, were scuttled by their crews.
