1/48 Me 323 "GIGANT"
Special Hobby's 1/48th scale model of the Messerschmitt Me 323 "Gigant" is a massive German WWII transport aircraft. This six-engined giant was used to transport troops, vehicles and supplies, and was the largest mass-produced transport aircraft of its time. The kit offers a high level of detail, realistic interior and armament. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Messerschmitt Me 323 "Gigant" was the largest mass-produced piston transport aircraft of World War II. Developed from the unpowered Me 321 glider, the Me 323 was equipped with six Gnome-Rhône engines that enabled it to carry up to 12 tons of cargo - including vehicles, guns or 120 troops. It was deployed mainly on the Eastern Front and in the Mediterranean, often supplying Axis troops in North Africa.
Although the Me 323 was a formidable machine, it suffered from slow speed and limited protection, making it an easy target for Allied fighters. Nevertheless, it played an important role in the logistics of the German army during several key campaigns.
The Special Hobby 1/48 Me 323 "Gigant" is a large scale kit designed for experienced modellers. It features a richly detailed interior cargo bay, cockpit, engine nacelles, armament and landing gear. Also included are decals for various versions and detailed building instructions.
This model is an exceptional project for anyone interested in German WWII aviation and logistics and looking for a real challenge on the modelling table.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
