The Tiran 4 Sharir was an Israeli project to upgrade captured Soviet T-54 tanks that fell into the hands of the IDF after conflicts with neighboring Arab states, especially after the Six-Day War. The early version of the "Sharir" was equipped with new Israeli systems, equipment mounts and later also the addition ofwhich were used for engineer tasks, obstacle removal and field preparation of positions.
