1/35 Raupenschlepper Ost RSO/01. Early Prod
MiniArt's 1/35th scale model of the Raupenschlepper Ost (RSO/01) Early Prod is a German tracked tractor developed for operations on the Eastern Front during World War II. The Raupenschlepper Ost (RSO) was developed by the German Army in response to the extreme climatic conditions of the Eastern Front, where wheeled vehicles were often rendered unusable by mud and snow. This tracked tractor was primarily designed for transporting material, artillery and troops in difficult terrain.
The RSO/01 Early Production version was the first production variant, featuring an open cab with sloping side walls and a robust tracked chassis inspired by the design of agricultural tractors. It was powered by an 85 PS Steyr petrol engine, which ensured reliable operation even in extreme conditions.
