The AEC Armoured Car Mk II was a British heavy armoured car, deployed in the second half of World War II mainly in North Africa, Italy and Western Europe. Compared to the previous Mk I version, the Mk II was equipped with more powerful armament - usually a 6-pounder gun - and an upgraded turret. The vehicle combined good mobility, durable armour and tank armament, making it a proven performer in both reconnaissance and support roles.
