This 1/35th scale model of the 152mm ShkH DANA vz.77 by Hobby Boss is a Czechoslovak self-propelled howitzer developed in the late 1970s as an innovative alternative to tracked artillery systems. The DANA (Cannon Automobile Automatically Charged) was the first mass-produced wheeled self-propelled howitzer in the world, distinguishing it from the then-common tracked self-propelled guns.
The system was built on the Tatra 815 chassis, giving it superior mobility even in difficult terrain and greater strategic flexibility compared to tracked vehicles. The armament consisted of a 152mm howitzer that could fire various types of ammunition at ranges of up to 20 km. The DANA vz.77 was widely used not only in Czechoslovakia, but also in other countries, including Poland, Libya and Georgia.
The Hobby Boss model features a detailed swivel turret, realistic chassis with suspension, accurately modelled gun and authentic surface details. Its historical significance and precision craftsmanship make this model an ideal choice for modelers focused on modern artillery systems.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
