The Dornier Do-335 Pfeil (German for Arrow) is a German World War II aircraft. The aircraft had an unusual design. It was based on the use of two engines in a single fuselage, with one engine located in the front of the aircraft with a lift and the other, located in the middle of the fuselage, operating a thrust indicator located behind the tailplane. The first flight of the Do-335 took place in October 1943. The prototype and later preproduction versions were powered by two Daimler-Benz DB 603E engines, each rated at 1,723 hp. Several examples of the aircraft were built between 1943 and 1945 (some sources put the number at 37), but it did not enter large-scale production. Until the end of the war, only tests and experiments were carried out on it. It was not involved in aerial combat with Allied aircraft. Technical data (version Do-335 A-0): maximum speed: 765 km/h, maximum range: 11400 m, maximum range: 1160 km, armament: fixed - 1 KM103 30 mm cannon and two MG151 20 mm cannons, suspended - up to 1000 kg of bombs.
