Valom 's 1/144th scale model of the RAF SE5a (Dual Combo) offers a precise rendition of one of the most important British fighter aircraft of WWI. Developed by the Royal Aircraft Factory, the SE5a entered service in 1917 and quickly gained a reputation for stability, durability and highpopular with pilots for its safe handling and powerful armament.
This aircraft was powered by a Hispano-Suiza 8 engine and armed with a Vickers .303 synchronized machine gun, along with an additional movable Lewis machine gun on the upper wing. The combination of good speed, climbability and combat endurance made the SE5a one of the best Allied fighters of the war and it served until 1919.
The pack contains two SE5a models, allowing multiple aircraft to be built with different markings. Included are finely detailed plastic parts, a realistic cockpit and decals with historic RAF markings.
