Avro Vulcan B.2 was one of three British strategic bombers known as V-bombers, which were designed to carry nuclear weapons as part of Britain's nuclear deterrent strategy during the Cold War. Compared to the first version of the B.1 it had more powerful Rolls-Royce Olympus engines, a larger wingspan and improved avionics systems, allowing it to deploy effectively at high flight levels.
The Vulcan B.2 was in active use in the 1960s and 1970s and played a key role in Operation Black Buck during the 1982 Falklands War, where it conducted the longest bombing mission in history at the time.
GWH 's 1/144 scale Avro Vulcan B.2 kit offers modellers the opportunity to build a detailed replica of this iconic aircraft. The package includes plastic parts with a precision crafted cockpit, landing gear wells and armament, including both conventional and Blue Steel nuclear bombs.
The kit includes decals for several versions of the RAF camouflage, allowing modellers to customize the look of the model to match the historical templates.
The high level of detail and precision craftsmanship make this model ideal for modellers with an interest in British strategic aviation during the Cold War. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
