Handley Page Victor B.2 was an upgraded version of the British Victor strategic bomber, which was part of the United Kingdom's nuclear deterrent during the Cold War. Compared to the previous version, the B.1 had more powerful Rolls-Royce Conway engines, an increased wingspan and improved avionics systems, allowing it to fly at higher altitudes and longer ranges.
The aircraft was deployed in the Royal Air Force (RAF) from the 1960s and served as a strategic bomber before being converted to the Victor K.2 tanker version, which was actively used during the Falklands War (1982) and the Gulf War (1991).
GWH 's 1/144 scale Victor B.2 kit offers modelers the opportunity to build a detailed replica of this important aircraft. The package includes plastic parts with a precision-machined cockpit, landing gear shafts and armament, including the ability to suspend Blue Steel nuclear bombs.
The kit includes decals for several versions of RAF camouflage, allowing modelers to customize the look of the model to match the historical templates.
The high level of detail and precision craftsmanship make this model ideal for modelers interested in British strategic aviation during the Cold War. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
