1/48 WWII Douglas TBD-1a "Devastator" Floatplane

The Douglas TBD-1A "Devastator" was an experimental floatplane version of the standard TBD-1 torpedo bomber developed for the US Navy in the 1930s. This version was equipped with a pair of floats for operations from the water surface, allowing deployment in areas without available airfields or aircraft carriers. Although only a limited series of these aircraft were produced, they represent an interesting example of naval aviation adapting to specific operational conditions.
