1/32 F-86D Sabre Dog
Kitty Hawk 's 1/32 scale F-86D Sabre Dog kit is a detailed model of the North American F-86D fighter aircraft, based on the original F-86 Sabre. This version, known as the "Sabre Dog", was designed as an all-weather fighter with a distinctive radome in the nose and without the classic machine gun armament, instead carrying 24 unguided Mighty Mouse missiles in a retractable submunition magazine. The kit features precision-machined plastic parts, a detailed cockpit, realistic engine, and the option of open or closed engine and missile magazine covers. Also included are photo-etched parts for fine detail and decals for several versions of markings, including US Air Force and other users. Package does not include paint or adhesives needed for assembly.

Although it shared a basic design with the original Sabre, the F-86D had only 25% identical parts, which included a larger fuselage, a more powerful afterburner engine, and a distinctive radome above the air inlet for AN/APG-36 radar. Instead of the traditional machine gun armament, it was equipped with a retractable submunition magazine with 24 unguided 2.75-inch Mighty Mouse missiles designed to destroy enemy bombers.
